These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.champreaders.com and all services offered by Champ Readers Pvt. Ltd. (“Champ Readers”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Champ Readers Pvt. Ltd. is a book marketing, promotion, and publishing company incorporated in India, operating since 2013. We provide authors and publishers with services including but not limited to: book launch events, PR & media coverage, author branding, social media marketing, book reviews, proofreading, cover design, and publishing services through Anecdote Publishing House.
Our services are available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Indian law. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.
The specific services provided, deliverables, timelines, and fees will be detailed in a separate Service Agreement or Proposal issued to the client prior to commencement of work. These Terms apply in addition to any such agreement.
All service packages offered by Champ Readers are customised based on the author’s goals, budget, and book category. The final scope is agreed upon in writing before services begin.
While we apply our full expertise and best efforts to every project, Champ Readers does not guarantee specific outcomes such as a fixed number of book sales, bestseller rankings, media placements, or follower growth. Marketing results depend on multiple external factors beyond our control, including market conditions, audience response, and platform algorithms.
All service fees are communicated in writing in the form of a proposal or invoice before work begins. Fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed.
A non-refundable advance payment (typically 50% of the total fee) is required before the commencement of any service. The remaining balance is due as specified in the service agreement. Champ Readers reserves the right to pause or suspend services if payments are not made on time.
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST) unless expressly stated otherwise. Clients are responsible for payment of all applicable taxes.
Advance payments are non-refundable once work has commenced. If Champ Readers is unable to deliver the agreed services due to reasons solely attributable to us, a proportionate refund of the remaining balance may be issued at our discretion. Refunds will not be provided for completed deliverables or services already rendered.
To enable Champ Readers to deliver services effectively, the client agrees to:
Delays caused by the client in providing required materials or approvals may result in revised timelines and Champ Readers will not be held liable for such delays.
The author/client retains full ownership of their original book content, manuscript, and associated creative work. By engaging Champ Readers, the client grants us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, and distribute the book content and author materials solely for the purpose of delivering the agreed services (e.g., sharing with media contacts, publishing reviews, running social media campaigns).
All marketing materials, creatives, campaign strategies, press releases, and other content created by Champ Readers for the client become the client’s property upon full payment of all dues. Prior to full payment, Champ Readers retains all rights to such work product.
The Champ Readers name, logo, website content, and all proprietary materials are the exclusive intellectual property of Champ Readers Pvt. Ltd. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, or commercial use of our brand assets is strictly prohibited.
Both parties agree to keep confidential all proprietary and sensitive information shared in the course of their engagement. This includes manuscript content, business strategies, pricing, and internal communications. This obligation continues for 2 years after the conclusion of the service engagement.
Champ Readers may request your permission to feature your book launch, success story, or testimonial on our website, social media, or marketing materials. We will only do so with your explicit written consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing.
Champ Readers may use third-party platforms and tools (e.g., social media networks, email marketing tools, payment gateways, PR wire services) to deliver its services. We are not responsible for any changes, outages, or policy modifications made by these third-party platforms that may affect service delivery.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Champ Readers Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total fees paid by that client to Champ Readers for the specific service in question.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Champ Readers Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) any content you provide that infringes a third party’s rights; or (c) your violation of any applicable law.
A client may terminate the engagement by providing 15 days written notice. Fees for work already completed or in progress will not be refunded. Any outstanding dues must be cleared before termination is effective.
Champ Readers reserves the right to terminate a service engagement immediately if: (a) the client provides false or misleading information; (b) the client requests services that are illegal, defamatory, or violate third-party rights; (c) the client fails to make payment as agreed; or (d) the client’s conduct is abusive or disrespectful toward our team. In such cases, fees already paid will not be refunded.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kota, Rajasthan, India.
Champ Readers reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
